Laura D. Brown, MD, FACS
Dr. Laura Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Virginia. An Echols Scholar and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, She completed study abroad programs in Mexico and Italy. She received her medical degree with honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1997.
Dr. Laura Brown completed her internship in general surgery and her residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery while at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. During her residency, she was trained in all aspects of otolaryngology. She especially enjoyed training at the Children’s Hospital of Alabama and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she spent eight months each.
Her practice encompasses all aspects of general otolaryngology with special interest in pediatric otolaryngology (including newborns), allergy evaluation and management, nasal and sinus surgery, hearing loss, and endocrine surgery. She is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.
Dr. Brown lives in Raleigh with her husband and three boys. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending soccer games, and being outdoors.
