William G. Morrel IV, MD, FACS

Dr. Will Morrel graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2012 with a BS in Biology with Highest Honors. He attended UNC on a Morehead-Cain scholarship and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa during his junior year. He received his medical degree from UC San Francisco in 2016 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2021. While there, he won a prestigious CORE Grant to fund cochlear implantation research.

Dr. Morrel’s practice encompasses all aspects of otolaryngology, but he particularly enjoys ear surgery, sinus surgery, thyroid surgery, and pediatric ENT. He values patient education and believes patient’s must understand their disease and options in order to make an informed decision about a treatment plan.

Dr. Morrel and his wife, Jessica, both grew up in Cary. They have three children: Madelyn, Liam, and Oliver. He enjoys hiking, spending time with his kids, watching soccer, making coffee, drinking coffee, and reading.
