MELANIE CORGILL-COX, M.S., CCC-A/SLP, F-AAA
Melanie joined our practice in 1992. She received her Bachelors of Science in Speech and Hearing Science in 1987 and her Masters of Sciences in Speech and Hearing Science in 1989 from the University of South Alabama. She trained at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama and has dual certification and licensure in the fields of Audiology and Speech and Language Pathology. Melanie is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is licensed by the NC Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologist and Audiologist as well as the NC State Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board.
DAVID CROWLEY, AU.D., CCC-A, F-AAA
David earned his Doctor of Audiology degree in 2010 from Gallaudet University. He received his bachelor’s degree in communicative disorders from the University of Central Florida. He is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. He is a member of American Academy of Audiology. “How we communicate with others ultimately determines the quality of our lives,” he said. “My goal is to improve both”
KAYLA CYPHERT, AU.D., CCC-A, FAAA
Kayla earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2020 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Thiel College in 2016. Kayla is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. She also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence for Audiologists (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). In her free time, Kayla enjoys traveling, relaxing on the beach, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
ELIZABETH LAROSA, AU.D.
Elizabeth, originally from Virginia, earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders from James Madison University in 2014. Elizabeth is license by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. In her spare time, Liz loves cooking and traveling with her husband.
KIERSTEN LAWSON, AU.D., ABAC, F-AAA
Kiersten is a North Carolina Native from Charlotte, NC. Kiersten earned her Doctorate in Audiology in 2016 from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from East Carolina University in 2012. Kiersten is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA). Kiersten is ABA Certified through the American Board of Audiology (ABA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Kiersten is also a member of the North Carolina Audiology Association. She enjoys assisting patients regain the ability to communicate with loved ones through the use of new hearing aid technology. Kiersten lives in the area with her husband and enjoys supporting the Carolina Panthers!
CHERYL MEDLEY, M.A., CCC-A, F-AAA
Cheryl Medley completed her undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech University. She received her Masters of Arts in Audiology from the University of Texas at Austin. (“Hook’em Horns!”) She has been practicing audiology and dispensing hearing aids since 2000. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
KATIE PALMER, AU.D.
Katie is originally from Virginia, she earned her Bachelors of Science degree from James Madison University in 2016 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2020. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has her certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Katie is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA). When she is not helping her patients achieve improved quality of life through better hearing, Katie enjoys being in nature, cooking, baking, and reading.
TAYLOR SOMERS, AU.D.
Taylor is a Philadelphia native. She is currently completing her clinical externship at our offices. Taylor will earn her Doctorate in Audiology in May 2025 from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University in 2021. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys going to hockey games, reading, exploring coastal towns, and spending time with friends.
