Dr. Clark will tell you when you may begin using topical scar treatment products. We typically recommend that patients try either:
Mederma (or generic equivalent)
-OR-
Vitamin E cream
In addition to the previously listed products, Topical silicone products can also improve the appearance of scars. Topical silicone sheets (such as ScarAway) are the recommended silicone product; however, silicone gels may be effective as well.
